Executive Director

Donations to FRF support one full-time employee, an Executive Director. This gives our community a talented, full-time professional working on our behalf. In a typical week, our ED will:

  • Touch base with the city on the status of necessary repairs and maintenance, including potholes, water main breaks, and line painting.

  • Represent Fondren’s interests in both state and city government. In the past, FRF has worked with the city to improve security lighting on our streets, collaborated with the state and the Army Corps of Engineers to prioritize flood mitigation measures on Eubanks creek, and advocated for changes to zoning and noise ordinances to keep our business distrcits safe and enjoyable.

  • Welcome prospective guests to the historic Cedars, the oldest surviving residential structure in Jackson, and now a highly sought after event and wedding venue.

And much, much more.

Our current Executive Director is Doug Boone and he is always open to dialogue about how to improve our community. You can contact him at doug@fondren.org.
